Oakling (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is a family activity discovery and playdate planning app for families in the San Francisco Bay Area. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it.

What You Can Do Without an Account

You can browse activities, view details, and explore the Discover page without creating an account or providing any personal information. No data is collected during browsing.

Information We Collect

When you choose to create an account, we collect:

Account Information: Email address, password (encrypted), first and last name.

Family Information (optional): Children's first names, age ranges, and allergies if provided.

Location Preferences: Your selected city. We do not track your GPS location.

Activity You Create: Saved favorites, events and playdates you create, programs you save and review.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to create and manage your account, save your favorites, display age-appropriate recommendations, show activities in your selected city, enable event creation and sharing, and improve the app.

We do not sell your information to third parties, display targeted advertising, track your behavior across other apps, or build advertising profiles.

How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. If you create and share an event, recipients see your name and event details. If you join a Circle, members can see your first name and recommendations. We use Supabase to securely store data.

Children's Privacy

Oakling is designed for parents and caregivers. The app is not directed at children under 13. Any children's information is provided by the parent and used solely for age-appropriate recommendations.

Your Choices

You can view and update your information in the Profile section. To delete your account, contact us at support@oakling.io and we will delete your data within 30 days.
